Score! I've managed to persuade ~~after blackmailing him, dropping it into conversation, doing his household chores for him...~~ the headmaster to let me go into the city by myself. Only he's decided he wants to go with me... for a '♥ FATHER ♥ DAUGHTER ♥ BONDING ♥ DAY', hearts included.

... not that I mind, but the idea was for me to go alone. Hmm. As long as he doesn't drag me into a vamp- I mean, some artifacts shop. Then I'll never get out.

Christmas was it's usual affair - the day class getting to go home, the night class staying and having visitors, and me and Zero spending a week in the headmasters - feathers - main household where we used to be all the time.

Kaname-sama came to visit! He didn't have to, but he came and sat with us for a while. Zero didn't look too impressed... he really does hate him a lot. It's a shame - he's the one that saved me, afterall.

It was my birthday, too - or my assumed birthday - and the headmaster still isn't happy about me going out by myself. I mean, honestly! I know that they can be attracted to me, but I should get some freedom...

Finally, time to actually get on and post about what I've been up to! It's been kinda busy round here. Let's retrack.

A couple of weeks ago, I was pretty sure I was coming down with something - and well, fell off the wall on duty. Nice going, me, nice going. Anyhoo, I landed on Al, and we got talking, and he's really nice! No wories, the Headmaster didn't yell at me too bad. He insisted I take the night off and the next night, though. I feel a lot better, now~! And I don't have to wear a gauze anymore, either.

... only thing was, this gave him liscence to drag me to some girl's birthday party. I've never even heard of the Dalmascans before... ~~and it left Zero with another night of being by himself. Gomen nai!~~ I swear, the Headmaster just likes me wearing pretty clothing. Hm. I met this really nice girl there in a green dress - never caught her name.

And now Christmas is coming close~! Ah, what to get Kaname-sempai. I wonder what he'll like?

Zero, I'm shattered! It's Saturday, you aren't supposed to drag me out of bed at the time we get up every day for school for... whatever the headmaster wanted then take me into the city. Seriously, come on.

History: On a cold winters night over ten years ago, the power system for New Sanctum suffered failure and the entire dome suffered freak snow storms. A young girl of five years was traipsing through the barren lands until she happened upon a creature - 'fangs protruding from his lips, covered in blood.' A vampire. The frightened little girl could do nothing more than watch, until she was saved by her Prince Charming - Kaname Kuran.

It was soon evident after talking to the girl she had lost all her memories prior to the event, and could do nothing for herself. Kaname knew of a Headmaster of a Private School in the inner city, and took the child to him. He agreed on making the girl his adopted daughter, and thus, Yuuki was granted her name. On the night she was brought to Headmaster Cross, Kaname helped to feed her, and that's when she first noticed, and reached out to touch them lightly - that he had fangs, and he was also a vampire. She screamed in fear and Kaname deemed it best to never see her again.

For a while, Yuuki didn't open up or speak to anyone. For being roughly five years old, she didn't act like it, and acted more like a small toddler, being incapable of doing anything. Kaname came to visit again one night, and he opened up to her - and she ran to him, and spoke her first words, calling him 'Kaname'. She soon became fast friends with him, remaining in the Headmaster's residence and attending New Sanctum School. She met Kaname only once a year, on her 'birthday', the day he had found her. This was the norm until she reached eleven.

One stormy night, a young boy was brought to her home. Zero Kiryuu. He was badly injured and covered in blood, fang marks deep into his neck. Yuuki was asked to care for him and tend to his needs, and she did - and found out his family had been attacked by a vampire that had turned bad. Zero then took to living with both Yuuki and the Headmaster, and since Yuuki has developed a close brotherly relationship with him. She's the only person who can see inside him and get him to be himself.

When she was fourteen, the Headmaster decided to introduce the 'Night Class' into the Cross Academy, with the assistance of Kaname. It caused quite a stir among the high-class pupils on the grounds, since all the night class were 'beautiful'. Yuuki was delighted to be able to see Kaname next to all the time, and at the prospect of transferring to the Private Academy for her high schooling years, accepted her father's proposition of her being part of the disciplinary committee along with Zero.

It was only recently she discovered a secret about Zero which changed her life and her goals to protect him as well as the secret held in the school. She's also held a long lasting crush for her knight in shining armour, Kaname, which she feels he's oblivious to.

Personality: On the surface, Yuuki is a cheerful and easygoing teenager. She whines about school, sleeps during class, likes going out to see the world, argues with Zero in a brotherly way, and pursues her crush even though she doubts it'll ever happen. She takes life with a pinch of salt and believes everything can be made better somehow. She shares Headmaster Cross' vision of a world where Vampires and Humans can live together in harmony, as she knows not all of them are bad. She knows when times call for her to get violent from being attacked, since her blood seems to attract vampires from being 'so delicious', as it was put.

When it comes to being committed, Yuuki never once sways from her goal. She is calm and collected even in the most difficult of situations. Her duties to the committee are as important as her being and she puts her heart and soul into it, often only getting an hour's proper sleep a night (though this is made up for sleeping in class). It means that much to her to keep the Vampire's a secret from the students. She promised Zero she'd always be there for him and wouldn't be scared of what he was, and hasn't gone back on that promise, either. She's a very devoted and dedicated girl in that sense.

There's a side of Yuuki people rarely see, though it's clearly there - that of a little lost child. Despite her ideals, she is still scared of vampires to a degree, and once she gets wrapped up in thinking of how to help and protect someone, she'll often become depressed if she can't do anything for that person.

Powers/abilities/combat skills: Yuuki is very lithe and nimble, and thus uses this to her advantage. She can climb up trees and high places with ease, jump and land gracefully from a window, and can run with swiftness if the time calls for it. This is very useful for her committee duties, since the girls often want to get a look at the 'gorgeous students of the night class' and tend to slip out at night.

Due to the fact she often tends to attract vampires and needed to be trained, she's adequately acquainted with the martial arts and can use a bamboo stick of sorts, called 'The Artemis Rod'. It's a staff, but looks akin to a bamboo stick. She can wield it with mere ease against her opponents. She has a gun, given to her by Zero, called the 'Bloody Rose', which she can wield but she often finds it difficult. Zero told her to shoot him if the time should call for it.

Extra: Yuuki has found some ability to be up most of the night without a problem, probably only getting an hour sleep in her dorm, before she has to return to her school day. She tends to fall asleep in class because of the fact she's up all night, however.

She is the adopted child of Headmaster Cross. She cannot remember everything earlier than the fateful night she was almost killed by a vampire. She has since developed an obvious and long-standing crush on her savoir, Kaname Kuran.

She has a matching necklace and bracelet that she always wears - the bracelet can be used to control Zero via some old power. They are a matching set.

In Canon: The adoptive daughter of the headmaster of Cross Academy, Yuki is a member of the school's disciplinary committee (public morals committee in Japanese), which is the 'front' for the Guardians. Ten years prior to the events of "Vampire Knight," Yuki was attacked by a vampire, but was rescued by Kaname. She has lost all memory of her life before the attack, and Headmaster Cross took her in as his own daughter. (from wikipedia)
